About Us
Anca Stuparu has extensive experience as a NP in the area of Women’s Health and Emergency Medicine. Since 2014 she has been working as an OB-GYN Emergency Medicine NP at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. From 2016-2017 she joined in parallel New York Surgical Specialists, Lenox Hills affiliated practice, as an NP specializing in breast disorders. In 2017 Anca Stuparu received privileges with New York Presbyterian at NYCH, currently Maimonides affiliated practicing as Emergency Medicine NP. In August 2019 she joined Dr.Elena-Maria Buruiana’s practice as an OBGYN NP. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Anca Stuparu engaged in frontline Covid19 Emergency Medicine, management, treatment and testing of Covid19 positive and convalescent patients.
Anca is passionate about her patients and has an integrative, comprehensive, psychological, gender affirmative and holistic approach to medical practice. Motivated by the increase demand of medical care, in May of 2020 Anca Stuparu opened her own private medical practice.
She is fluent in French, Spanish, German and Romanian.
In 2018 Anca Stuparu published her first volume of Poetry “From Another Shore”, a collaborative work with the Sculptor Physician Dr Emil Silberman. In April 2019 she was awarded the title of Cultural Ambassador by The African Cultural Exchange for her role on the Medical Women’s Health Mission to Spanish Town, Jamaica. Her second book “Memories of nutty school kids - Pandemic Memories” was launched by the prestigious Romanian publishing house “Curtea Veche Publishing” in December 2020. Her literary achievements include collaboration with American, Canadian, Arab and Romanian literary magazines. Anca Stuparu’s poems were translated in English, French and Arabic. Her poems are part of Daniel Ionita’s bilingual anthology “Romanian Poetry from its Origins to the Present”.
